The Stoewer Arkona - named after the Cape Arkona on the island of Ruegen - is a car of the upper middle class , which the carmaker Stoewer began making in1937 as a successor to the type Greif V8 could say. At the same time, the smaller Sedina type appeared . In contrast to their predecessors, the vehicles again had rear-wheel drive and rigid axles.

The vehicle had a 6-cylinder OHV in-line engine with 3.6 liters displacement, which developed 80 hp and powered the rear wheels via a 4-speed gearbox. The front wheels were suspended from two transverse leaf springs, the rigid rear axle had semi-elliptical leaf springs. The body was designed even more conservatively than that of the Greif V8 . Two wheelbases were available.  201 copies were made by 1940. Then the production of civilian vehicles was stopped and only the standard car for the Wehrmacht was built.
