gwalchmai
This is charming, from back when science and technology loved us and wanted us to be happy. I remember these films rolling through the projectors when our teachers had a deadline and needed to keep us occupied. Oh, and Mel Cooley!
Fog
Opens talking about man trying to understand Natural Law, and then quotes the Word of God. That was back when we were looking for truth, not trying to pretend immutable truth didn't apply to us. 5
Huaco Kid
The teachers were really back behind the groundskeeper's shed, smoking. When the film ended, we'd just let it roll and a foot of loose film would be rapidly fwap-fwap-fwap-fwaping all over the projector, while we were all playing desktop paper-football. 1
Huaco Kid
We tried to invent desktop paper-hockey, but no one ever really came up with a good facsimile. We had a desktop game that used three pennies, but I think we called it soccer.

That was the era when Bell Labs was offering technological breakthroughs every day. Some of these brought the semiconductor transistor to life and some advanced micro and millimeter wave technologies. Then bells monopoly was broken up and the money went away.... 4

Yes I remember well and they said it wouldn't affect anyone's job. Nokia Bell Labs, originally named Bell Telephone Laboratories (1925-1984), then AT&T Bell Laboratories (1984-1996) and Bell Labs Innovations (1996-2007), is an American industrial research and scientific development company owned by Finnish company Nokia. 1
