How Chinese Marijuana Grows Took Over Rural Maine

It's almost comical how illegal grows in California are putting licensed vendors out of business.  Once the legal businesses pay their taxes and fees, their prices are easily undercut by illegal growers.  And the police seem to simply throw their hands up rather than navigate the legal minefield of regulations.

Still, in CA unlicensed  people can grow six plants.  While in Maine they can grow only three.  I wonder what has to happen to draw their attention to a farm to cause law enforcement to get involved.

I remember here (in CA) a few years ago, some cartel cronies damned up a remote creek for a grow.  The creek eventually gets down to Richie Rich-ville, where some urban house frau probably complained that her view was obstructed by the dried creek bed.  The Sheirff's went up to investigate and got shot at.  Things escalated from there. So, that's what it took to get the law involved.

Great. Don't have to leave the residence (paid for with tax dollars) for work, and now don't have to leave for food, weed, and probably beer.

Maybe a good thing, keep the lowlife trash at home, off the street  ??
