DAKA Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 Ingredients 10 pieces bacon, thick-cut 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons maple syrup ********************************* Directions ********************************* Step 1 -Position the oven rack on the center rack. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Step 2 -Combine the black pepper, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Set aside. Step 3 -Place the foil onto a 13x9 inch baking sheet. Step 4 -Add the bacon in a single layer. Step 5 -Cover both sides of the bacon pieces with the brown sugar mixture. Step 6 -Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, then flip the bacon and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes. Step 7 -Remove the bacon from the oven and let cool before serving. Al Czervik Posted February 26, 2023 Share Posted February 26, 2023 I'll give it a try, minus the syrup. I have ten or so pounds of bacon I need to use. I cure and cold smoke it myself.
