Back in the day young and stupid we were. We made a cross of balsa wood and put birthday candles every 2 inches on the cross. Dry cleaner bag taped to the edges and held open. Yes it went up but this was on a open farm field with nothing else around. Yes, we were stupid but was after a rain so things were wet. Still no excuse.
