DrB
All I know is that the nice viper lady was after it. Will have to go to an art forum to find out history. Too bad as I lost it in a canoe accident trying to get it across the river. Probably the same place my guns settled when that canoe accident happened.

Batman first appeared the DC's Detective Comics #27, May 1939. A year later, he got his own book. ABC's television program was not Batman's first film role. He appeared in serials shown in movie theaters; I remember them well. That, and King of the Rocketmen. Serials were probably made in the early 1940s. 1
tadbart
I'd also say late 1930s. Not art deco enough for the 20s. The late 20s, people were too worried about starving. Things started rolling again and by the late 30s, there was probably extra ability and energy to be devoted to art again. I'm sure I'm missing A LOT, but that'd be my best guess for this early in the morning.

Parents love them.

Sad but yes I hid that picture for over 30 years because it was in my original family and I did not want to see the B*****h get ahold of it to sell. The Queen Theater in Bountiful, Utah. 35 cents got you a hot dog, Coke, a Slo Poke and all day at the movies; including serials and cartoons. 6 of janice had his cowboy films, we had B science fiction movies. How many young'uns remember, or even know, what a crying room in a theater was? And, no lad or lass or even an adult has ever totally consumed a Slo Poke. Or, a Brown Cow. Yes, gwalch. I may be old.
