Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Rockmart Police Department at 770-684-6558 or call 911. The GBI was requested by the Rockmart Police Department to assist in two double homicide cases on Thursday, January 24, 2019. At approximately 8:01 pm, Polk County 911 reported two separate double homicides at 503 Williamson Street and 319 Rome street in Rockmart, GA. The investigation has involved 3 GBI Regional Offices, Rockmart Police Department, Polk County Police Department, Floyd County Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, Haralson Paulding Drug Task Force, Cedartown Police Department, Cartersville Police Department, FBI, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Gamble also shot a fifth victim who was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries. Gamble fled the scene and stole a Ford Truck which was later recovered in Bartow County. He is considered armed and very dangerous and is actively being sought by local, state and federal authorities at this time. Previous: A mass shooting has been confirmed by the Polk County Sheriff's Office Thursday night. The shooting happened in the area of Williamson and Gordon streets. The sheriff reported there are at least two crime scenes in the area. Four people are confirmed dead another person wounded who was airlifted from the scene. Georgia Bureau of Investigation posted on twitter they have three GBI regional offices are responding to Rockmart to assist with the investigation involving "multiple fatalities". Peerless Brown, 24, was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center for his injuries after police said he was shot in the face. ETA: I don't know any of the victims, but I know some of their kin. PATCHMAN Posted January 26, 2019 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Police said Gamble went on a shooting rampage in the small Rockmart neighborhood Thursday night “All I heard was gunshots,” said neighbor Shirley Ware. Ware said all four victims are related and they’re also related to Gamble. But no one seems to know why the shooting happened. Fernandes did some research on Gamble and found a Cartersville address where he may have lived before. No one at the address recognized the photo of Gamble that GBI officials released Friday.
