SC Tiger
Maybe to settle everyone down we need a good thread about absolutely nothing. So how about some useless trivia. I'll start: The Australian White-Throated Snapping Turtle can breathe through its anus. Edited January 25, 2019 by SC Tiger

gwalchmai
"It's" is a contraction of "it is". The possessive form of "it" is "its". i.e. is the abbreviation for the Latin phrase "id est", which translates literally to "it is", as in "it is to say". Also, apostrophes are never used to construct plurals. 6

Paul53
When bats fly out of caves anywhere in the world, they immediately fly in a counter clockwise circle, then off they go to eat bugs. If you ever have the chance to see Carlsbad NM Caverns or any place where bats like to hang out (pun intended) you'll never forget the sight of the sunset emergence of 10s of thousand bats. Paul53
The color receptors in your eyes, the cones, see red, green or blue. They make all the colors from those. But everybody has a different number of each, which is why we might see the new drapes as green tinged while another person sees only blue. As a matter of survival, never argue with a woman. The longer you argue, the more you lose. The drapes are the color she says!

That's why they can talk about stuff like taupe and fuscia with a straight face. 2
