railfancwb
State of West Virginia bought track, right of way, locomotives and some other equipment when a logging operation based in Cass was closing down in early 1960s. Made a state park of it. Those locomotives - Shays and a Heisler and a Climax - represent the peak of railroad supported logging. Fortunately the trains still run during tourist season.
