Administrators Eric Posted September 28, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted September 28, 2019 Here is a picture of Glacier Girl as she was found in the glacier, after they tunneled down to her and cleared out a chamber around her, using hot water jets. The British and several other countries, such as the Chinese, use a ski jump to get VSTOL-type aircraft off the deck and flying. The US Navy does not, even on the LHD carriers that carry only helo and AV8-B aircraft. The big fellows have much better toys that require a zero-to-150 knot in two second launch. Yes and it will get worse the way their going. This was really an old ship, think it was decommissioned around 2011.
