Why do the Brits build such bizarre looking aircraft? The poor thing looks really surprised. It must have just seen it’s reflection in the water.

No, it looks like it’s loading from the stern. :whistling:

The Bristol Brabazon. This behemoth was powered by eight 18-cylinder radial engines, each producing 2,650hp. The aircraft had four sets of contra-rotating propellers, each powered by two engines. It was a truly enormous aircraft and it was quite advanced, but Bristol build this prop-driven passenger liner at the start of the jet age. This project was doomed before the first test flight. Only two prototypes were built. Both were scrapped when the project was cancelled.
