railfancwb
Someone asked what type of horse a knight in shining armor might ride. Don’t know what breed this horse is, but it has the size to carry a Knight in shining armor - plus probably some armor fro the horse itself. These battle horses, wore a suit of armour too!..." https://www.pitara.com/science-for-kids/5ws-and-h/what-kind-of-horses-did-knights-ride/

Moshe
At least they are using better hearing protection now. With the equivalent of lawn mower hearing protection, every three months I got blown ear drums. 4

Now days there is some good hearing protection if used correctly. 3

But, for my own use, these days, I picked out hearing pro, that blocks out the noise, and you can still have a conversation. Technology has certainly advanced a lot.

Not only gun fire is a problem but aircraft and other loud noise of equipment, Can't imagine the noise level on an active carrier flight deck. Just got some new muffs with the built in mics.
