I have always thought Norman Rockwell one of America's premier artists. His illustration of emotion in this painting blows me away. The 2 boys in awe, the 2 older men, listening in rapt attention, the young Raider, whose face shows resolution, fear, anguish and pride, and the look of pain and understanding on the postman's face, who looks old enough to be a WW1 veteran.

I've seen a few of those.  I always wondered if the actual house could be saved or if the structure is compromised irreparably.

I've worked on some buildings that were very old and in very bad shape. With enough money...

There used to be one not too far from my house.  But it looks like while the structure is still there, the actual land was divided up and smaller houses are there now.

I'd be tempted to explore except with so many people around......

Plus I can't find the darn thing anymore.  Makes me wonder if it was torn down or fell in.
