I listen to what women say. I derive pleasure from buying women clothes, shoes, jewelry, lingerie, that flatter their looks. I don't have to be a wine critic they tell me. But one of my instructors at culinary school was a level II or III Sommelier. He was spooky. He could tell the blend of grapes and country of origin. And he insisted expensive did not mean good.
