Walt Longmire Posted March 23, 2022 Share Posted March 23, 2022 Mom's birthday today. She would have been 92 but passed away at the young age of 68 from multiple myloma. A wonderful woman loved by many in the community. A volunteer fire fighter and Sr EMT. Well today I got a package in the mail. A hand knit sweater she had made for my cousin when he was in high school more than 40 years ago. Has a deer on the front and back. Very cool. He asked me way back around Christmas if anyone in my family would want it, and my grand daughter was a definite 'yes.' I had forgotten our conversation about it. Yet here it is, showing up in my mailbox on her birthday. Nice surprise. Made me smile. I doubt her birthday was a consideration when it got dropped in the mail.
