gwalchmai
I saw this old (1988) movie on the Amazon last night. It was pretty fun but strange, too. Like how the aliens got drunk on sour milk, and were mammals. At least this one alien stripper chick was for sure a mammal... And they had two hearts. And seawater dissolved them. Anyway, I think it was a missed opportunity to make a really good sci-fi flick. Also, "Hello, my name is Sam Francisco. You killed my father. Prepare to die." 1
Historian
I remember that crazy show that was based on the movie. Ran on Fridays on Fox if i remember. It was a big deal as it was a fourth station. Might have been Sunday nights. We're going back ways.
26isbest
That was a pretty bad one. And I did watch a few questionable sci fi flicks in the 1980s, like Metalstorm: The Destruction Of Jared Syn and other Battle Truck production movies. Although I admit to liking Metalstorm.
NPTim
James Caan was over cast for that part. It became a tolerable TV series.
26isbest
I just looked it up, apparently Mandy Patinkin played Sam Francisco. I liked him better as Inigo Montoya and Gideon.

Caan never seemed to live up to his potential after that rollerball movie.

Cheygriz
Really bad sci-fi! Neither drama nor comedy. Coneheads was better.
