Historian
1 hour ago, Jack Ryan said: Mommy didn't hold your hand through breakfast back in the day. This is like the Burger King sitting on the edge of my bed. We're talking immediate, dramatic, regime change. 1
janice6
I do remember that commercial. Back then Clowns were still funny to kids, it wasn't until recently that Clowns were portrayed as killers and homicidal maniacs. The exception to my statement was the decades old "killer Clowns", of the drive in movie days, and " Killer Clowns From Outer Space". They traveled to Earth in a circus tent. Even then their guns would shoot cotton candy and they would encapsulate the victim in Cotton Candy Cacoons then stick a straw into them and suck them out. Yes, I did see it back then.

janice6
Even the Howdy Doody show had Clarabelle the Clown. It didn't bother the kids then at all. 1947 to 1960. Edited April 18, 2020 by janice6
Historian
A few years ago my boss called me and said he couldn't make a meeting. He asked me to step in. I claimed to suffer from Coulrophobia. He called me back about 10 minutes later and asked if he was the clown. 1
