I bet the roofer back then hated that place. It is a striking house. I like it.

Is this the old Tea Room near Fincastle?

If it is, it has a fascinating history.  Originally located nearby, it was the scene of an attack during the Revolutionary War, dismantled and moved to the current location; with bullet holes still evident on the walls.

I lived in an old mansion with a steeple and a cross on top.  I hated it.  Everything you wanted to do was on a different floor.  Up and down, up and down all the time.

The wood work was beautiful though.
