This is a very interesting response regarding Nancy and her district. So, we need to be honest and fair and give the pol who's been in Congress for 32 years now a pass on the literal shithole her district is because she can't dictate what goes on there. Got it, and yeah, she doesn't have direct control of it. It has, however, been controlled by HER political party for more than the last half century (the last Republican mayor left office in 1964 and it has been 'D' ever since), though, so it would seem that those in control share her belief system, no? And they've been driving for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. Why doesn't she call the governor and mayor and all and tell them it makes her look bad? I thought Ds CARE about the common folk. On 11/22/2019 at 5:32 AM, Dric902 said: During the first three years of his presidency, Obama deported 1.18 million people, The Washington Post reported. Trump, despite promising in 2016 to deport “millions,” has deported less than 800,000 people during his first three years in office. Under the Obama administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported more than 385,000 people each year in fiscal years 2009-11. The rate spiked in 2012 when 409,849 deportations were carried out, Axios reported, citing Department of Homeland Security records. The Trump administration has not carried out more than 260,000 deportations in a single year, according to the Post. . On 11/22/2019 at 6:30 AM, Cubdriver said: So, do you suppose this is due to a lack of effort and inclination on President Trump's part, or could there possibly be some external factors? You know, things like leftists and 'sanctuary cities' actively thwarting the efforts of ICE & DHS, and activist judges throwing obstacles in his path and making deportations more difficult to carry out? Or is it just that Trump lied about his intentions? What are you saying here? -Pat But when President Trump (who's been in political office for not quite THREE years now) can't accomplish his goals because he faces opposition at every turn from leftists using their 'pet' judges to block his efforts to exercise powers that are his per the Constitution, well, that just 'is what it is'. On 11/22/2019 at 7:21 AM, Dric902 said: I’m saying that it is what it is. there were sanctuary cities with Obama, DACA, etc so a leftist that deports more illegals than the “build the wall” campaign spokesman, says something. Trump had no intention of deporting cheap labor and has said so in different interviews “we are going to take care of them” etc, etc, etc. the most eft wing President we probably have ever had, who could do whatever he wanted and be protected. Has deported more illegals than probably the most, self avowed, right wing President we have ever had who can do whatever he wants and be protected by a hardcore group of believers. intentions and actions don’t agree. Campaign slogans and administration actions don’t agree. if this was anybody else we would be screaming . On 11/22/2019 at 8:33 AM, Cubdriver said: You apparently suffer from TDS. He can't 'do whatever he wants'. His efforts to exercise powers that are clearly his as laid out by the constitution have been repeatedly obstructed by leftists taking suits to selected federal judges who then rule against the president and tie him in red tape. His attempts to secure funding for the border wall have been fought tooth and nail by democrats in congress (the same democrats who can be seen in video recordings from before Trump was elected voicing their strong support of exactly the same things they now hue and cry about when Trump tries to accomplish them). If you haven't seen this play out time and again, then you're either not paying attention to what's going on, or are being willfully obtuse. I suspect the latter, given the amount of shade I see you throwing on the president. The president doesn't operate in a vacuum, and is not a dictator. If you are unable or unwilling to acknowledge this, then that's your failing. -Pat On 11/22/2019 at 8:21 PM, Dric902 said: You mean.....politics that never existed before 2016 sarc/ .
