jmohme
The more accessible we make our devices to ourselves, the more access points the hackers have to try to get in. I am not at all surprised that bluetooth has become a target.
Jframe
So I have an Android device with version 7.0, and the Armis app I downloaded from the Google store tells me I have the vulnerability. I checked under updates for my phone, and there's no security patch for this issue yet. I guess I'm just going to walk around with the vulnerability until (if) the vendor gets to it... Gun Shark
My iOS is not in the cone of vulnerability to begin with, but I very rarely use bluetooth anymore anyway. Mostly just to listen to music in my car and then turn it off when I leave. Thanks for the tip though. I will post it on FB to spread the word.. I think a lot of people forget to turn off their device Bluetooth when they leave their cars ( ***cough*** my wife ***cough***). I'm going to do my darnedest to try and ingrain that habit in her... Mog
Bluetooth is like the bestest thing mine is never off. Bluetooth headset for the win way better than holding the phone up to the ear or being the retard on speaker phone holding the phone out in front of their face talking at it.
