New ATF Rule Aimed at Private Sales, Not 'Gun Show Loophole'

The Biden administration and the legacy media are touting the ATF's new rule governing gun sales as something that "closes the gun show loophole," but in truth, no such loophole exists. Instead, the administration is cracking down on private sales of firearms by broadening the definition of who is "engaged in the business" of selling firearms; a move that could open millions of gun owners to criminal prosecution as well as diverting the ATF from going after real gun traffickers.

As a practical matter, this new rule is just the latest step in the federal government’s ongoing effort to bypass Congress and to implement something akin to Universal Background Checks.

Rather than providing gun owners (and gun sellers) with a clear and understandable definition of who is "engaged in the business" of dealing firearms, the ATF is promulgating this incredibly vague rule; not to close a non-existent loophole, but to force as many private sales as possible to go through a background check. If that means that some gun owners end up being charged with federal felonies for offering a single gun for sale, the Biden administration is just fine with that outcome. And if the ATF is flooded with applications from gun owners who decide it's safer for them to get their federal firearms license, it won't be long before the gun control lobby uses that to call for a dramatic increase in agency funding, and crackdown on who is eligible to obtain an FFL or both

Argentina’s Federal Criminal Cassation Court ruled on Thursday to formally declare Iran and the Shiite jihadist organization Hezbollah responsible for the 1994 bombing of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) and the 1992 bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires.

https://www.breitbart.com/latin-america/2024/04/12/argentina-finds-iran-hezbollah-guilty-1990s-terror-attacks-israeli-targets/

The Cassation Court’s ruling, which described Iran as a “terrorist state,” determined that Hezbollah carried out both attacks on behalf of the Islamic regime. The court declared both terrorist attacks crimes against humanity, which places them beyond statutes of limitations despite the passage of time and the lack of judicial results in the past three decades.

The ruling, signed by three of the court’s judges, urges the Argentine state to present a formal complaint at international courts against Iran over the two attacks and calls for a reform to Argentine law to allow local courts to conduct in-absentia trials against the seven Lebanese and Iranian nationals suspected of having participated in the attacks. All of the suspects have active Interpol “red notice” arrest requests on their names, but remain protected in their respective countries.

The attack on the AMIA Jewish community center occurred on July 18, 1994. On that day, terrorists drove a van filled with explosives into the center’s building in Buenos Aires, leaving 85 dead and hundreds injured. The 1994 AMIA bombing was the deadliest terrorist attack in the Western Hemisphere prior to the September 11, 2001, attacks.

It's amazing how many folk don't foresee the obvious consequences of proposals such as going cashless in favor of an electronic credit system - until those consequences are felt like a jack-boot being pressed down heavily onto one's neck, eh? 🤔   Wake Up!
