Back in the 70s and 80s before the wunder 9mm plastic pistol took over the industry it was not common but not uncommon to see a BHP being used as a service pistol. If you carried a semiautomatic in the 60s it was a 1911 for the most part.

During Slick Willie’s AWB for some reason there always seemed to be standard capacity magazines available BHP’s at reasonable prices.

I love the looks of the BHP, but I've never shot one.  It's definitely on my Want List, but my budget (unfortunately) demands that I stick pretty closely to my Need List.
