tous
The Winnipeg Jets (original), Phoenix, Arizona Coyotes are moving to Salt lake City. Please, Lord, do not let them name the team the Salt Lake City Seagulls. Or Honey Bees. I think they should change the name of the Minnesota Wild to the Minnesota Moomins. The alliteration trips lightly over the tongue. It's playoff time!

You betcha. 1
Batesmotel
Thanks. We have the Grizzlies. A minor league team. People want some variation of the older team we had. The Golden Eagles. We have a great arena. The same one used by the Jazz. The Bees are our minor league baseball team. And we are in the running for a MLB team as well.
tous
Dang, my Dad took me to Bees games way back in the 1950s. Salt Lake City metro area has what? A million people or so? I think it will be a good hockey town.
Batesmotel
Salt Lake county is 1,300,000. The greater metropolitan area is The Wasatch Front. It is a north-south area connected by I-15. Barred by the Wasatch mountains from going east and the desert to the west. The wasatch front is well over 2 million people. We have always been sports lovers. We have been just too small for lots of teams until now.
Batesmotel
They have already pre sold 20,000 reservations for season tickets.
tous
Good for them. Most hockey venues hold less than 20,000, even fewer when they tear out general admission seats for sky boxes.
Administrators Eric Posted April 20 Administrators Share Posted April 20 I’ve watched one hockey game start-to-finish in my life. That one was USA vs USSR, in 1980
