gwalchmai
This is why I tumble brass with pins. I got this very clean brass yesterday from a friend. He had already decapped it and vibe-tumbled it in walnut. And it was very clean. So I ran it for four hours in the Thumler. Can you see a diff in this bad pic?
tous
It looks like all of the primers are pieced on the port-side examples. Optical illusion. Proper caliber, though. 10mm might could be properer. You put anything like detergent in the liquid?
Batesmotel
Do you vibrate or rotary tumble with pins ?
tous
I vibrate with a combination of walnut and corn cob media with a drop or two of Flitz polish. I tried the wet tumbling, but that just didn't have the capacity of a vibrator and I cared more how the brass loaded and shot than how it looked. Being from Georgia, I'm surprised that gwalch doesn't just dump a load of peanuts in the tumble with the cases. Shelled peanuts and clean brass in one step. NB my Dillon vibratory tumbler is over 25 years old and still going strong. It replaced a Hornady tumbler that only lasted 15 years

I have a "Thumler's Tumbler", which is made for polishing rocks and stuff. I put 300 or so .45 ACP cases in with a handful of pins and a half gallon of water, then run it overnight. I also have a vibe tumbler which I use to purty-up loaded rounds... Quote Being from Georgia, I'm surprised that gwalch doesn't just dump a load of peanuts in the tumble with the cases. Rolling around back there got the brass clean and she didn't notice any difference in sound or ride quality...
