A University of Cambridge dean claimed that Jesus Christ could have been transgender.

Where do these idiots come up with this stuff.

"A Trinity College spokesman responded to the controversy by saying, "The sermon explored the nature of religious art, in the spirit of thought-provoking academic inquiry, and in keeping with open debate and dialogue at the University of Cambridge."

In December 2021, a German bible museum featured an exhibit displaying Jesus Christ as a transgender.

The Bibelhaus Frankfurt said, "For some years now, society has been opening up to non-binary gender concepts. We sometimes have heated debates about gender-equitable language. It seems to be one of the burning issues of our time. Take a look at the diversity of gender identities from biblical and modern times and find a divine answer that fits all questions: You are good as you are.""

Let’s see here… Jesus died over 2000 years ago, well before invention of film and cameras. So whatever visuals might exist would have been paintings. How often were paintings made depicting crucified common criminals? When were the earliest known paintings of Jesus created? How could those paintings been photo-realistic? When did paintings begin to feature genitalia? Were any such described by the artists and their contemporaries as representing Jesus?

Sounds to me as though the entire academic discussion illustrates the fallacy of “publish or perish”
