Mrs Glockrunner Posted June 29, 2022 Share Posted June 29, 2022 Now that ammo is a bit easier to get, and hopefully the gas prices will drop before too long, it is time to look ahead to matches in 2023. One of the most underrated matches is the Charleston, SC, match. It was moved to the second weekend of February to remove the threat of a hurricane. February is also much cooler to shoot. The range is compact, so not a lot of walking. Most of the RO's have been doing their jobs for many years, so they are well seasoned. Since the match is held on or about Valentines Day, bring your sweetie along. It would be a great match to get her interested in shooting. If not, there are great restaurants in the area, along with many tourist sites. And out of all the matches I've attended, Charleston has the BEST food. Miss Margaret not only has the normal hot dog/hamburger offerings, she also has a tasty chicken salad sandwich. She offers many flavors of cakes and other scrumptious desserts. She also serves breakfast! Am I biased about this match? Sure! Bob and I try to make it fun for everyone. We even won Glock's 'Match Of The Year' in 2020. Come to Charleston! We'd love to see you!
