Administrators Eric Posted August 1, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2021 The first McDonald's Drive Thru was installed in a restaurant based in Sierra Vista, Arizona, located near the Fort Huachuca military installation. Military rules forbade the soldiers from wearing their military uniforms in public, and they weren't about to change into civilian clothes just to grab a burger and run back to base, so restaurant manager David Rich came up with a solution: cut a hole into the wall and allow members of the military to pick up their orders without stepping out of their car. The convenience and simplicity of the idea quickly caught on. Â I'm going to add that what the quote above probably meant was that it was against regulations for troops to wear a duty uniform like fatigues in public. That used to be a thing. By the time I was in, it was frowned upon by some old-timers, but it was not against regulations to be out in public wearing BDUs. 7

So the Germans took over the plants and made their own. The various flavors were because of the German chemical industry. The embargo lasted a long time and the Germans just kept making Fanta. Allied troops liked it and created a wide market when they went home. 5

Administrators Eric Posted August 1, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2021 Cotton Candy was invented and then reinvented by two different dentists. The Electric chair was also invented by a dentist. How many more reasons do we need to dislike these bastards? 1
