I tell you what not to get , an 83 ford escort  , I still have nightmares ,  I drunk one day skipping school  and 3 other friends skipped with me , and I said  "ive had it with this pos !!!  im gonna wreck the **** out of it .

they didn't believe me .  there was local sand pit near us we would ride 3 wheelers on hills a lot on week ends .  well one afternoon    I took it jumping berms and dirt ramps ,  highest speed was 60  over birm , car was tough   it last 2 hours ,   I limped it home . all windows busted , no doors would open  front end bent up like a U  .  SMOKING  AND ETC  ,  GOT IT HOME AND PARKED  , my friends were like dude we thought you were joking lol .   I told my dad the truth , could not lie  half the car was filled with sand and knew where we go lol .  told him id rather right bus. so I rode bus until I saved enough for Toyota 4by 4  .  bus riding was cool back then because students drove the buses .  my wife is from PA  and thought I lied til I showed her the yearbooks showing the student bus drivers.  we had parties daily .

My youngest three will get cars based on grades.

In his first year of HS my son pulled a 4.11 GPA (12 As and 2 Bs). If he does that this year he’ll be choosing between a Mustang and a Challenger.

My daughter, in 8th grade, has never made less than an A. She is sounding like she’ll end up with an Accord or a Maxima.

If I were picking the cars they would all end up in something big that had a zillion airbags and weighed at least 4,000 pounds.

All of them will have cars equipped with a monitor that reports how they’re driving and where they are going.

we used to install devices like this in a lot of first cars

sometimes Helicopter Parents, some were to see if Kids were Responsible enough for a newer car.

off topic a bit but thead reminded me of it ,  I was watching  gene simmons  show way back , and he bought his daughter her first car ,  and she was so surprised so they came out of mansion  and there

sitting there was a smart car ,   and I thought to myself that's the dumbest and most stupid car you could buy , specially for your daughter ,  shocked the hell out of me . can afford  any car in the world and

pick her a tiny smart car  ???  I think I stopped watching after that  even thou I never watched it unless I ran across it on tv .
