Good people do good things.

It's rather sad thinking that the public is so taken aback by a humanitarian gesture like this.  Why does this seem so rare.

Because the media usually prints doom & gloom, it sells their product better.

The old media adage, "If it bleeds it leads".

So true.  Back when I was in broadcasting it was “Good news is no news.”

Back in the early part of the last century, or maybe a little before, a newspaper ran an edition or two in the manner they thought it would be if Jesus was the editor in chief.  It was a flop.

Many times the people that do the most are seen the least.  I guess we are accustomed to their work and take it for granted.

When I was little it was 5 blocks to Main Street and the Police Station was on the corner.  I used to just walk in a chat with them.  I never saw one that I considered a problem.

Cops in my town were the go to guys for us kids.  They were good people then too.
