pipedreams
"While most tax-paying Americans saw their overall tax bill decline under President Trump's tax-reform package - and American corporations pay substantially less as well - there's no question that homeowners in blue states, a group that includes some of the most affluent people in the county, lost out. By capping how much of an individual's property and income taxes can be written off their federal tax bill, as well as lowering the threshold for mortgages that qualify for interest deductions to $750,000 from $1 million (one reason why the luxury market in places like Greenwich has gotten whacked), Trump managed to exact his revenge on the blue-staters who supported his presidential rival back in 2016. "The net population decline might cost the Golden State a few seats in Congress once the 2020 census is completed."" https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/it-was-final-bucket-straw-trump-tax-plan-sparks-middle-class-exodus-california-new-york 1
PPQer
And wherever they go, they still vote democrat. Rick Perry thought he was the king sheet for stealing companies from California. It might end up turning Texas blue. 1

Bend County went overwhelmingly red by a lot! and it is a historically Blue county and Suburb of Historically Blue Houston. also where many California transplants have been moving to as a matter of fact so many have moved there they want an ordinance to keep houses from looking too 'Californian'. i think there's a real concern about Transplants voting Democrat, but i think Money Motivates people to change Opinions. but i am an Eternal Optimist. 1

November is going...to be...amazing...there has never...been a movement among conservatives like this. It's why the press is freakin. Democrats are losing it. Trump isn't winning. He's plowing a new field, a new crop. Edited February 1, 2020 by Historian 2
PPQer
And now if he can get a republican led House with a friendly majority leader, and more advantage in the Senate, they can pass laws making his Executive Orders permanent. 2
