janice6 Posted September 9, 2019 Share Posted September 9, 2019 My wife isn't like that. She's more like the victim in our family. long ago we were watching an piece about Sophia Loren. I made the innocent comment, "She's really good looking!". My wife snaps back, "She's 60 years old!". Of course believing my job in the family is to cause discord, I responded with, "I can't wait till you turn 60 and start looking like that". This may not have been the most appropriate moment to say that. Many people take humor in different ways. When this came up a second time she said," Don't forget you bought me a gun!". I said, while laughing, "Remember, I also taught you how to shoot!". It's kind of fun when we leave a more formal situation, with the people laughing.
