More and more I resent companies like Facebook that sell information about their users.  So, I use the containers feature on Firefox to prevent Facebook from following me around the web.

It's something else to think about as we all become more web savvy.

Yup.  Not hard to do.  Much like someone's desire to put me here when my daughter was in kinder garden and my wife forced us to take photos taken while I was taking leave from work.  If they wanted something updated, they might consider that my beard now is mostly white.

I've been using Qwant for some time now. I really like it and the searches are a little more broad than DuckDuckGo and StartPage. I really like both of these and have used both for a long time until I stumbled on Qwant.

At times I like a more "American" search so I'll go to the Duck or StartPage for it. Since both of these are based on Google, it provides mostly the same results that Google would, but they throw up the roadblocks for tracking. I always took both with a grain of salt since they are based on Google search, but they seem to do a good enough job of turning away the tracking modes.
