PNWguy
This cannot be good long term for the human body...
EdTracker
Starvation does have long term damage to the body but weight loss and gain are actually very normal and healthy for humans. The questions that I would have is how fast did the transformations take and how they were implemented. It is amazing how fast one can loose weight. Not me, I don't give two shits about anyone from Hollywood, especially their physique.
Huaco Kid
Tom Hanks filmed the Cast Away movie backwards. He exercised and had a strict, monitored, diet at home and filmed all the ultra-skinny parts first. The hollywood on-set buffets are legendary and he said he had no problem gaining the weight back.
G19Tony
Sure, it's easy when your whole job is to get in shape for a movie, and you have your personal chef cooking for you.
Huaco Kid
One of my brother's first movies was a horror / monster one, and he wore a fairly complicated prosthetic mask through the whole thing. He said all his friends would hoot and dig into the buffets and make sure to tell him how delicious everything was.... while he was still wearing his mask and couldn't eat anything. 1

jfost11
For that first one, he ate a can of tuna and an apple a day with black coffee, water, vitamin supplements, and lots of cardio for nearly four months. After 4 hours I would be grumpy.
