Yes I know it's not the same as the snake guns of the past...  I am a Colt fan boy, I admit.  I have 2 of the new .38 Cobras so I will probably be bring one of these home.  Just glad Colt is back in the revolver market and they don't have that hideous hole in the side, I like revolvers but not those...

That is a nice looking gun in the brushed stainless. What is the frame size? The original King Cobras were the D Frame same as the Python and the Trooper which was nearly the same as an L frame Smith.

I know this gun has a smaller frame but is it the size of a K-frame S&W?--It looks like it.

I know if I were looking for a 3 inch 357, I'd rather have one of these Colts than a new manufactured Smith and Wesson. But I used to have a Ruger speed six, the fixed sight version of the security six, with a bobbed hammer and a trigger job and that gun was just about perfect.

I agree that a 22 LR version would be great and a 22 magnum version as well. --Collect all 3!

The Python was an I frame revolver. The Detective Special and Diamondback were D frame revolvers.

So then the new Colt Cobra is a 'D' frame? isn't hat slightly smaller than a S&W K frame?
