My family  lived in Western New York back in the 50's and my mother's parents live in Iowa and my Dad's parents lived in Northern Ontario.  Every summer vacation we would fly to one place or the other. My dad was an aeronautical engineer and liked flying and could afford it. Flying was a luxury back then and not just like taking a bus like it is today. A lot of these pictures are not necessarily first class, it's what it was like for all passengers. I still remember how good airline food once was and especially the dinner rolls with real butter. At home, we ate margarine.
