The Biden administration vetoed a resolution today at the UN Security Council to grant full membership to the Palestinians. According to the news, 12 countries voted in favor of it and two abstained. The veto kills the resolution. The five permanent members of the UN Security Council with veto power are: China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The other 10 non-permanent members are “Algeria, Ecuador, Guyana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Republic of Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Switzerland.” Knowing that France and Japan voted yes, that Switzerland and the UK abstained and that the US vetoed, the rest listed above would have voted in the affirmative for Palestinian membership. pipedreams Posted April 19 Share Posted April 19 Over the past week, we’ve seen numerous far-left protests all across the country where people are disrupting traffic, burning the American flag, and chanting “Death to America.” Yet House Democrats are refusing to condemn it. Make no mistake, these are not just random politicians. These are some of the most prominent Democratic elected officials in the entire country who just can’t bring themselves to say, “No, I don't think people should chant ‘Death to America.’ I am opposed to that.” That should be a layup. It’s the easiest shot to make. Now, this is something that maybe younger people won’t fully appreciate because, when you see an exchange like that, you automatically know those people won't condemn “Death to America.” But what you should understand is that this is a pretty new development. We get jaded and accustomed to things very quickly, but 10-15 years ago Democrats would have happily and eagerly condemned this nonsense. Not because they were great patriots back then, but because the political incentives would have been very high for them to go on the record and say, “Hey, I'm not with those people. I love America. God bless the USA.” That's not the case anymore. These Democrats don't condemn the chant because, for one thing, they agree with it— they're all anti-American traitors. But more importantly, politically, they're held hostage by the most radical far-left elements on their side.
