Yeah, I had one of those. My mother got mine at a garage sale and the freaking thing had several missing parts. That was very frustrating.

It was a learning tool. The missing pieces developed resourcefulness.

Although the article is about new technology for general aviation class aircraft, the technology of a 180 horsepower engine burning deisel fuel instead of gasoline getting approval sounds like a huge step in engine design.
