To me it's the symbol of my country, just as it is to me a reminder of those who served our country. To desecrate this flag is to demean those who died for it, as much as those who live for it. It's far more than just a symbol, it's a tangible piece of our country that reminds us of why we commit ourselves to maintaining the Constitution. The flag is something we can carry to the far reaches of the Earth. It is a piece of America to most of us. A piece of our country that we can carry as a reminder of how precious freedom and liberty is. If it means so little to some, why do our enemies place such emphasis on desecrating it as they would our country and it's people.
