pipedreams
"Today, the Chairs of three U.S. House Committees released a framework for a five-year, $760 billion investment in infrastructure that would address some of the country’s most urgent infrastructure needs, from addressing the massive maintenance backlog, to designing safer streets, to putting the U.S. on a path toward zero emissions from the transportation sector and increasing resiliency. The framework put forth by Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Frank Pallone (D-NJ), and Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal (D-MA) would bolster the Federal role in order to help communities around the country undertake transformative projects that are smarter, safer, and made to last." https://www.technocracy.news/house-sneaks-green-new-deal-spending-into-infrastructure-framework/
janice6
They know there will be repercussions with this bill. That's why they brought it up before the elections...….. The will argue that Republicans care nothing for the people, if they don't support this bill, while not highlighting the Global Warming argument they have built into it. Let it die and re-address it after the election when the Democrats quite possibly will lose the house.
holyjohnson
it wont pass a single budget Committee and would be gutted in the Senate. i`m not really against Zero Emissions Mass Transit vehicles but most of this is`nt about rebuilding roads, Bridges and Tunnels this is about pushing an agenda that Private Companies should be investing Private Money into. only way there can be Zero Emission Green Energy Mass Transit is to shore up the Power plants and the Entire Electrical Grid which no Democrats can agree on. i`m all for 5G for First Responders, but for Rural Internet access, that is the job of Private ISPs, not the Federal Government.
