The news media claimed that during our last snow storm that left considerable depths of snow in many parts of our state, there were 500 crashes due to the weather.   (or lack of respect for Mother Nature by the drivers)

Interstate 80 is always peddle to the metal night and day and the big rigs almost out number the cars.  I drove the freeways of southern CA. for many years and I still get nervous on I.S. 80.
