DrB
Two weeks ago I planted lettuce. Put some more in this evening. What are you planting? Dave..
Mrs.Cicero
arugula, lettuce, spinach, kale, peas, turnips, beets so far. Something ate the beets right after they came up, so I have to plant them again somewhere else. The arugula is up and nothing is eating it. We'll see what else comes up this week... 1
janice6
I feel so emasculated, I can't even make the grass in my lawn grow!

Last thing I wanna do is mowing the grass. I want my lawn to turn brown. Let it turn black...... I want the sun blotted out from the sky....
janice6
I just spent a ton of money on a riding mower 'cause my knees are going bad. If the grass doesn't grow, I'm screwed.
Mrs.Cicero
I don't mow anymore. That's why I have kids. I wave $20 at the oldest, and she mows 7 acres... on my little garden tractor. When the kids leave home, I'm getting a ZTR. 1
janice6
Until I took my first drive around the lawn, I didn't appreciate all the nooks and crannies the riding mower couldn't get into. I can't walk long enough to trim, so I guess I'll have to simply chew up the irregularities until they make smooth lines.
jmohme
It is so dry here that I am afraid to mow. If I hit a rock and throw a spark my yard might go up like a flash bulb on an old Kodak. As far as fall gardens, We have a pretty large hydroponic set up and grow things year round. My first planting this year was in late winter and everything survived the few remaing freezes. 1
