Ricordo
And those who support and endorse them and their principles. Because a socialist by any other name...is still a socialist. Let's not mince words. They are the principal enemy of our constitutional republic.

Ricordo
Kindly consider the following. As proposed by Marx and Engels, communism is the ultimate goal of socialism. Its purpose, the final result. In history, there has been two principal mentions of such purpose of communism in socialist regimes. Under Brezhnev and F. Castro. Brezhnev explained that the Soviet Socialist republics were close to attaining communism. He never mentioned it again. F. Castro described his regime in the Socialist Republic of Cuba as communism. Once. Most certainly for political reasons. Accordingly, it is a mischaracterization to classify someone as a communist. Theoretically, communists don't exist. What we find are socialists who are proponents of communism. In common speak, "communists". "Communists", for short. After all, what's in a name among friends? 1
Ricordo
Or are we to think that socialists will stop their endeavours just before communism is reached? Communism interruptus? Edited July 26, 2019 by Ricordo Jugglers

Many times the very best leader is the one who doesn't want the job.

Ricordo
That photo is telling. Look at their body language. Pelosi leans forward. Her posture is uncomfortable. Her mouth is a broad grin but her eyes don't follow. Her eyes have a rather "let's get this over with" look. She leans away from AOC. AOC is slumped, somewhat relaxed . She displays a forced smile but her eyes show glimpses of self-gratification. She also leans away from Pelosi. She's probably thinking, "at last, validation!". I'm reasonably certain that they weren't holding hands behind their backs. Or after it was over, gave each other a see-you-later kiss. I wonder if each will receive from the other a personal Christmas card.
Ricordo
That photo reminded me of a friend who also happened to be an enemy. I've written about him here and there. He's the only person I've known that had photos of him with Brezhnev, with Mao and with F. Castro. He liked that crap. The photos clearly showed that he was the only one who had a smile. For the others, it was an "obligatory" condescension.
