Well, just because the .localgov says "yer all gonna die, GO!" doesn't make everyone do so, as history would suggest otherwise.  My property has been through much worse with no damage, and flooding is not an issue because my house is high enough to elude the storm surge and is the high point.  Rain drains right out to the ICW/ocean.

If I had evacuated to my other nearby property, a "safe" 2 hours from here, I'd be looking at a mess and still not be back.
