Administrators Eric Posted July 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted July 11, 2021 Not one of the better known WWII movies, but one of my favorites and one of Lee Marvin's best movies.
railfancwb
There have been many under appreciated folks in the acting profession over the years. Lee Marvin, Jack Palance, Robert Mitchum come quickly to my mind. Think one of the above maxed out “The $64,000 Question” and “The $64,000 Challenge” when those were standard TV fare… and $64,000 was still real money.

minervadoe
The first army was a meat grinder in WWII and the cast was well represented as survivors of the entire conflict. If I'm not mistaken, the squad's nickname was the Sergeant's Four Horsemen or something like that. I've got the DVD in my WWII section, and yes, it is one of the better war movies.
