TXUSMC Posted December 5, 2019 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I think the answer lies in how they are sold... generally, burger joints don’t sell sammiches, and most sub joints and delis don’t do burgers. TXUSMC Posted December 5, 2019 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Things that have stand-alone brilliance when done properly: A hot pastrami and Swiss with spicy mustard on rye A half pound medium rare angus beef burger with cheddar A sliced brisket sandwich with pickles, onions, and BBQ sauce A Philly cheesesteak A Cuban sandwich A turkey sandwich (made the day after Thanksgiving with leftovers), stacked high, with mayo A BLT (crispy B and beefsteak T), with mayo Again, my $.02.
