DrB
Since tous outed me last time for my past work, let's go with this. Yes, audio and all that.. No Google... What piece of audio equipment had a chimney and what was it's purpose? Dave..
tous
I dabbled in studio and live audio engineering, but I do not know this one. Now, if you young'uns will excuse me, I have to go and wind some AM radio tuners.
Dric902
Didn’t the old stereo setups with the cabinets full of equators, amplifiers, subwoofers, etc have a “chimney” for heat transfer?
janice6
Purely guessing here since I am no audiophile. But, chimneys can mean tuned cavities for peaking or even simply for a delay to the sound, producing an echo faking a large volume auditorium. That's part of it. Power supply heat sink. Close enough. Is a Sony MCI JH-110C Tape Deck.. 1
