I know I sound like a whiney PITA right now, but the couple threads I read with both going on looks like an eyesore to me. I guess if your commenting specifically to something in the post and want to keep the comment and the post close by. Saves you from having to quote, because the context is right above. Of course if the post had a large number of comments, then the context could be lost. I think one or the other; but not both; unless someone can point out a good reason for them.
