Well, to be serious about the situation is large cities are often Socialist.  Look at the crime levels in Houston, in Dallas, in Atlanta, in Cleveland, in Tulsa, Detroit, and Baltimore, LA, San Francisco  Why?  It is socialism in action.  We see it leaves to poverty, disease, and invariably crime.  Then when you have Mayors of those places overseen sometimes as well by members of Congress that are liberals that is what you get.  If law and order were allowed to be restored, properly, instead of with their hands tied behind their backs, and capitalistic revitalization move in, I suspect you would see a dramatic decline in crime, and a better quality of life for their citizens.

The poor do tend to congregate in the large cities since I believe they think this is where to money is, and they have a better chance of conning more people out of "stuff".  The higher population density means more gullible people are there.  It helps if the climate is temperate or warm also.

 

I suppose the more gullible means more liberal and easier pickings for the politicians also.
