Parke-Davis developed Scour Clean in 1919 to deal with the new strains of VD brought back from France by the Doughboys after WWI. It was used on, um, personal equipment.

Their catchy jingle "How You Gonna Clean 'Em Up Down on the Farm After They've Seen Marie?" became a household tune in the 20s.

Nope...  This is farming not VD.
