Heard that a replica of the bell was placed on the ship when the original bell was removed. The link did not so state.

So... was a replica bell made and placed on the sunken ship? Or is the replica tale an urban legend!

approx. 10:40, replica bell inscribed with the names of the 29 lost hands welded in place.
